Linen Drawer has methodically selected new colors for their Egyptian cotton percale bedding, inspired by trends such as nature, nautical themes, and opulence, with an emphasis on deep natural colors. The new color range includes sand as a light shade, blue vapour as a medium shade, and slate as a deep color, which complements existing products. These colors are available in high-quality 400 thread count fabric, which has been tested for durability and color retention.

1. SOULFUL SHADES
How would you choose colours for new products? The array of tones and shades is mind boggling and predicting what
will be suitable for bed linen is a daunting task. Well, at Linen Drawer we aren’t easily daunted and, deciding to add
colour to our range of Egyptian cotton percale, we set about making the choice in a methodical and analytical
manner.
Trends identified were Plants/Nature, Nautical/Sea, Opulence, New Nostalgia and Traditions Reworked. Colours
associated with these were varied but the emphasis throughout was on deep natural colours. The inspiration was
taken from the plants, water, stones, minerals and animals that surround us.
Armed with this information we analysed our existing product colours in order to see what was ‘missing’. We decided
that a we needed a light, medium and dark colour. The light colour we chose was Sand – a wonderful tone that will
complement and highlight many of our existing colours, such as taupe, duck-egg, cream, grey and white. Entirely
natural, yet sophisticated, it is a welcome addition to our range.
The medium shade we chose was Blue Vapour – the colour of the deep blue sea on a cloudy day. This intense blue is
both silvery and blue, and sits very well alongside the colours that Linen Drawer use to produce their superb bed
linen.
As our dark colour we looked no further than the fabulous Slate. Not black, not grey, but an intense mixture of the
two. The result is a colour of incredible depth and resonance, reinforcing the modern trend of pared down opulence.
The result of our decision to enhance our offering to you, our customer, is that these new colours are available in 400
thread count egyptian cotton percale. The sateen weave adds to the beauty of the fabric giving it a soft handle and
wonderful depth of colour. The fabrics have been tested and have excellent colour and light fastness, meaning that
they will stay beautiful for as long as you have them.
