Sonali Uttam is currently pursuing an MSc in Experimental Medicine at McGill University. She received a BTech in Biotechnology from Amity University in 2015. For her undergraduate thesis, she studied the regulatory role of heat stress transcription factor A7a in response to high temperature stress in Arabidopsis thaliana. She has work experience from an industrial training program at Imperial Life Sciences and as a Junior Research Fellow at the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute studying bacterial sepsis in neonates. Her goals are to pursue biomedical research and develop tools to help doctors better treat and diagnose diseases.
