近來隨著雲端服務以及軟硬整合等議題的興起，產業許多人開始關注所謂物聯網 (IoT; Internet of Things) 時代的到來。似乎，隨著電腦體積愈做愈小、運算速度愈快，早期在資訊科學界所追求的遍佈運算 (Ubiquitous Computing)、消失的電腦 (Disappearing Computers)、環境智能 (Ambient Intelligence) 等對於未來可能的想像，似乎已準備好大舉進入產業界、深入實踐人們的生活紋理當中。 然而回顧歷史，許多重要的媒材、觀念，或發明，一旦走入人們生活當中，體現的不只是其本身的器物功能與價值呈現，更是在人們生活中、心理狀態、行為上、人與人交往中、人類文明上，產生重大影響或改變。而當今生活被科技駕馭的大部份人們，除了接受改變之外，是否能更積極的選擇與參與科技的設計？ 「社匯物聯學 Society of Internet of Things」邀集來自學界專家學者以及業界先進，透過4天在華山 FabCafe 的工作坊，以 Raspberry Pi、3D 列印機等快速雛型打樣技術，透過設計實作以及密集研討交流的方式，探討物聯網社會的可能樣貌。 活動時間：2014/9/3 (Wed) – 9/6 (Sat)，共四天 活動地點：台北華山藝文園區 FabCafe http://sigchi-taiwan.org/society-of-iot
