A tired man comes home from work and gets angry when his young son asks how much he makes per hour. When the son asks to borrow 50 rupees, the man yells at him and sends him to his room. Later, the man realizes he was too hard on his son and brings him the money. However, the son already had money saved up, and explains he wanted to use 100 rupees to buy one hour of his father's time to have dinner together.
A little boy asks his father how much he makes an hour after he comes home from work tired and irritated. When the father angrily tells him Rs. 100, the boy asks to borrow Rs. 50. The father refuses and sends him to his room. Later, the father realizes he was too hard on the boy. When he goes to apologize, he finds the boy has collected Rs. 100 to "buy an hour of his time" to have dinner together, reminding the father not to let time slip away from those who matter.
This document summarizes a presentation given by Henny Chen about engaging students' learning through Web 2.0 tools. It discusses Moreau Catholic High School's one-to-one laptop program for 9th-11th grade students and some of the Web 2.0 tools being used in Chinese language classes, including eBooks, online drills and exercises, Moodle, Quia, iMovie, Comic Life and tools for listening, speaking, presentations and recording like Audacity, VoiceThread, YouTube and Vocaroo. Examples of specific Web 2.0 tools highlighted are Twitter, reading tools, puzzle games, Google Docs, Flickr, eStroke software and Prezi.
This document discusses technology tools that can be used to create a paperless classroom. It introduces tools for teaching, promoting creativity and collaboration, and designing student-centered learning opportunities, including the iPad apps Evernote, Dropbox, Google Drive, Voicethread, and Blackboard. It explains how these tools can save paper, money, and time while creating a more efficient and organized learning environment. It also covers considerations for creating a paperless classroom like equipment needs and managing time and expenses.
This document provides instructions for making a big book by folding and cutting paper. It describes folding a page in half and then in half again, cutting along the fold line up to the center line. Another page is cut slightly smaller and fit inside, with the flap glued so the pages are attached. Text is then added and the book folded closed. The document credits the lead teacher and participants who created the instructions.

5. 「假如你一定要知道的話,我一小時賺 20 塊美金」 “ if you must know, I make $20 an hour” 「喔!」 小孩跟著說︰ “ Oh,” the little boy replied, with his head down, looking up, he said, 「爸,可以借我 10 塊美金嗎 ? 」 “ dad, may I please borrow $10?”
The father was furious, “ if the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a sill toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed, think about why you are being so selfish.” “ I work long hard hours everyday and don’t have time for such this childish behavior.”
The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions.
How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the had calmed down, and started to think hey may have been a little hard on his son. Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn’t ask for money very often.
The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door. 」他問著 “ are you asleep, son?” he asked. 「爸,還沒睡,我還醒著」小孩回答著 “ no daddy, I’m awake” replied the boy. 「我想過了,我剛剛可能對你太兇了」父親說著 “ I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier,” said the man.
這是你要的 10 塊錢美金」 “ It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $10 you asked for.” The little boy sat straight up, smiling. “Oh, thank you daddy!” he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.
The man, seeing that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, then looked up at his father. 」父親生氣的說著 “ Why do you want more money if you already have some?” the father grumble.
12. 「因為我之前不夠,但我現在足夠了」小孩回答 “ because I didn’t have enough, but now I do,” the little boy replied. “ daddy, I have $20 now, can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow, I would like to have dinner with you.”
Its just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.
