A general rule of the Islamic Shari’ah is that it is haram for the Muslim to eat or drink any thing which may cause his death, either quickly or gradually, such as poisons or substances which are injurious to health or harmful to his body. It is also haram to eat or drink large quantities of a substance if large quantities of it cause illness For the Muslim is not entirely his own master; he is also an asset to his religion and his community, and his life,health wealth and all that Allah has bestowed upon him are a trust with him which he is not permitted to diminish Allah says:
«And do not kill yourselves; indeed, Allah is ever Merciful to you.» (4,29)
He also says:
«And do not be cast into ruin by your own hands …» (2, 195)
And His Messenger (peace be on him) said:
« Do not harm yourself or others.»
As an application of this principle, we may say that if it is proved that the use of tobacco is in injurious to health it is prohibited especially for a person whose physician has advised him to stop smoking....

Defecation
Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool toward the anus. When stool reaches the rectum, the distention causes relaxation of the internal sphincter and an awareness of the need to defecate. At the time of defecation, the external sphincter relaxes, and abdominal muscles contract, increasing intrarectal pressure and forcing the stool out
The Valsalva maneuver exerts pressure to expel faeces through a voluntary contraction of the abdominal muscles while maintaining forced expiration against a closed airway. Patients with cardiovascular disease, glaucoma, increased intracranial pressure, or a new surgical wound are at greater risk for cardiac dysrhythmias and elevated blood pressure with the Valsalva maneuver and need to avoid straining to pass the stool.
Normal defecation is painless, resulting in passage of soft, formed stool
CONSTIPATION
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Improper diet, reduced fluid intake, lack of exercise, and certain medications can cause constipation. For example, patients receiving opiates for pain after surgery often require a stool softener or laxative to prevent constipation. The signs of constipation include infrequent bowel movements (less than every 3 days), difficulty passing stools, excessive straining, inability to defecate at will, and hard feaces
IMPACTION
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. It is a collection of hardened feces wedged in the rectum that a person cannot expel. In cases of severe impaction the mass extends up into the sigmoid colon.
DIARRHEA
Diarrhea is an increase in the number of stools and the passage of liquid, unformed feces. It is associated with disorders affecting digestion, absorption, and secretion in the GI tract. Intestinal contents pass through the small and large intestine too quickly to allow for the usual absorption of fluid and nutrients. Irritation within the colon results in increased mucus secretion. As a result, feces become watery, and the patient is unable to control the urge to defecate. Normally an anal bag is safe and effective in long-term treatment of patients with fecal incontinence at home, in hospice, or in the hospital. Fecal incontinence is expensive and a potentially dangerous condition in terms of contamination and risk of skin ulceration
HEMORRHOIDS
Hemorrhoids are dilated, engorged veins in the lining of the rectum. They are either external or internal.
FLATULENCE
As gas accumulates in the lumen of the intestines, the bowel wall stretches and distends (flatulence). It is a common cause of abdominal fullness, pain, and cramping. Normally intestinal gas escapes through the mouth (belching) or the anus (passing of flatus)

China and Eastern and Southern Europe consume the most cigarettes per person. This is not only because of the high smoking prevalence (see Smoking Among Men and Smoking Among Women) but also high smoking intensity – the large number of cigarettes smoked by average smoker per day.
About 5.8 trillion (5,800,000,000,000) cigarettes were smoked worldwide in 2014, cigarette consumption is still on the rise. The significant reductions in smoking rates in the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, and other countries that implement increasingly tight tobacco control laws have been offset by the growing consumption in a single nation: China. The Chinese market now consumes more cigarettes than all other low- and middle-income countries combined.
Other regions are increasingly playing larger roles in the growing global smoking epidemic.
Patterns of cigarette consumption vary widely within countries. Cigarette consumption displays large disparities and is associated with lower socioeconomic status, even in low- and middle-income countries. These inequalities can be reduced by the use of targeted tobacco control measures. For example, revenue from cigarette tax increases could be directed to fund tobacco prevention and cessation programs for disadvantaged groups.
Experts say that cigarette smoke contains over 7,000 different compounds. A significant number of them are toxic (poisonous) and can damage our cells and many of them are carcinogenic (cause cancer).

Smoking also increases the risk of dying from cancer and other diseases in cancer patients and survivors.1
If nobody smoked, one of every three cancer deaths in the United States would not happen.

For instance, according to “Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,” in the United States it is estimated that there are 480,000 deaths each year because of smoking. Tobacco use is the reason to more deaths each year than illegal drug use, alcohol use, HIV, motor vehicle injures, suicides, and murders all together.
Secondhand smoke (also called environmental tobacco smoke, involuntary smoke, and passive smoke) is the combination of “sidestream” smoke (the smoke given off by a burning tobacco product) and “mainstream” smoke (the smoke exhaled by a smoker) (1–4).
People can be exposed to secondhand smoke in homes, cars, the workplace, and public places, such as bars, restaurants, and recreational settings. In the United States, the source of most secondhand smoke is from cigarettes, followed by pipes, cigars, and other tobacco products
There is no safe level of exposure to secondhand smoke.
As little as 5 minutes of exposure to secondhand smoke is enough to hurt you, trigger health problems such as:
