Alcohol and tobacco use pose serious health risks. Beer is the fourth most consumed beverage in the US, and thousands die each year from alcohol poisoning or alcohol-related car crashes. Tobacco contains over 4000 chemicals including 100 poisons and 63 cancer-causing drugs, and thousands die annually from tobacco smoke exposure even though they do not smoke. Smokeless tobacco is also hazardous to health similar to cigarettes.
