Samuel McLean is a PhD candidate at King's College London studying the development of the Royal Navy from 1660-1749. He has a Master's degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Guelph. His teaching experience includes being a teaching assistant at both King's College London and Wilfrid Laurier University. He has published several book reviews and articles. He is active in academic societies and uses social media and podcasts to engage in public outreach about naval history topics.
