4. Smart Boards follow UDL Approach because they provide flexibility,
reduce barriers in instruction, provide accommodations and includes
students with disabilities and ELL students (Alnahdi, G, pg.14).
5. Universal Design for learning benefits
students with and without disabilities
(Morningstar, Shogren, Lee & Born,

6. How I will use the resources of the Smart Board lesson
plan "Introducing Adjectives”
• I will use this lesson plan for my future class.
• Positive Things I noticed in the lesson plan are:
1. starting the lesson plan off with an interesting YouTube video
2. Giving many definitions and examples of the topics
3. Using Interactive games and activities, that all children can participate in
4. Using voice recordings
5. playing games that go along with subject matter
6. Many pictures & Visual aids
7. Allows students to use multiple skills
How I will change the lesson plan
Include other native languages present in my classroom
7. How the lesson/resources I found support Universal
Design:
1. Lesson gives flexibility in the way information is presented, how the
Students engage, and in the way students respond of demonstrate knowledge.
• Students play many games and are able to touch the board
• listen to voice recordings
• watch videos
• make their own sentences using adjectives
• Pick adjectives out of a story
• Group work
2. Reduces barriers in instruction, provides accommodations, and maintains
higher achievement expectations for all students, including students with
disabilities and Ell students.
• Help students with hearing disabilities by highlighting text
• Level of challenge is differentiate in the games
• Collaboration of all students
• Uses different voice recordings, to keep children interested
