2. INTRODUCTION SSG
SMALL SIDED GAME are (SSG) any game played
with less then eleven –a-side teams,
Eleven –a-side hockey is an adult game devised by
and for adult to play
Therefore , the u-14 and younger age groups are the
ones that can and should be involved in small sided
games, the objective of small-sided gmaes is a stair
step approach for young player to grow into the adult
game of 11 vs 11

AIM- to increase the combination of possesion of play and finishing ability
VARIATION- 2 alternate side rotation of ball evey position player and
finishing 2vs1 ,1vs1 choice of attacker which side help

8. FUNCTIONAL TRAINING MOVEMENT 5VS5
AIM- quickness of body movement in ssg
VARIATION-
5vs5 (2small red goal (black team) ,2 big goal yellow goal(green team)

9. BENEFITS OF SSG
 The ability to repeatedly contact the ball and the
ability to repeatedly experience basic tactical
problems
 In term of player development ,this ability to
actively particpate is directly related to fun and
enjyoyment and to the issues sorrounding quality of
play and the retention of player
 More responsibilty in all phases of the game there
is no hiding or dominant player hogging the ball .
Every child has to particpate in all facets of the
game, the emphasis is on player development
