-Well, it’s like a Flickr account for your
Presentations. You can add friends, share
presentations publicly or with a select few,
there are groups you can join. It’s social
networking for presentations you’d like to
share.
-You have a profile all your own that you
can use to generate a body of work and
share it with whomever you choose.

-Slideshare lets you upload different types
of files – PowerPoint Presentations, Word
Documents, Open Office Documents, and
PDFs. Here is what slideshare says about
its preferred formats:
· Max size: 100 MB.

· Supported Formats:

Presentations: PowerPoint - ppt, pps, pot, pptx, potx,
ppsx; OpenOffice - odp, pdf; Apple Keynote - key, zip
    or pdf.
Documents & Spreadsheets: Microsoft Office - doc,
docx, rtf, xls; OpenOffice - odt, ods, pdf; iWork Pages.
For anything else, saving as pdf usually works.

You cannot, however, upload other sorts
of files, like JPEGs or .AVIs, etc.
-You can synch audio with your
presentation.

-When you show your slideshare, you can
click play and it will auto-advance, or you
can click forward yourself to maintain
control over pacing.

-Your presentations can be shown in full-
screen mode or as part of a page on
slideshare.
-Best of all, it is a FREE service.

-The Beauty of Slideshare is in the EASE
of sharing.

-Uploading and converting a PowerPoint to
a slideshare takes about 1-2 minutes.

-Then you can choose from among a wide
variety of options for sharing. It’s
gorgeously simple to share a slideshare
presentation on social networking sites
like Facebook.
