comprehensive GR on electrical fire safety The GR requires users to take the following
safety precautions :
1. Ensure proper selection of FRLS cables,
distribution boards, meter rooms and
panels
2. Periodic inspection and audits
3. Compliance of earthing as per IS 3043
4. Use of ELCB/RCCB
5. Use of PPE while carrying our
maintenance
6. Ensure operation at correct voltage
levels
7. Use of smoke alarms and fire fighting
systems in high rise buildings
8. Use of IOT based system for
monitoring and cloud storage for 14
electrical parameter
MCGM becomes the first Corporation to
include IOT based devices as part of NOC New highrises in Mumbai will have
improved electrical safety based on the
added conditions in NOCs:
1. IOT based Micro Controller Devices
shall be provided in the electrical
installation of the building as per
requirement stipulated in Circular No
2021/No.114/Energy-5
2. The IOT based Micro controller devices
shall be tested and verified by NABL
accredited testing laboratory in
accordance with the recognised IS732-

checked and certified by the Chief
