Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training course that teaches people to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness and provide initial help, similar to physical first aid. The 2-day course covers common mental health issues like depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, and more. Participants receive a manual, complete exercises in a supportive environment, and get certified as a Mental Health First Aider. This helps raise awareness of mental health issues and gives people tools and confidence to initiate caring conversations with those in need of support.
