This document provides information about blending hydrocarbons in large storage tanks. It discusses the key considerations for sizing mixers, including tank dimensions and properties of products being blended. Propeller mixers are recommended over jet mixers as they require less power and have maintainable parts outside the tank. Upward pointing mixers can reduce blend times by up to 50%. Computational fluid dynamics is also discussed as a tool for visualizing flow patterns.

This document discusses mixing hydrocarbons in large storage tanks. It describes the differences between mixing, blending, and maintaining homogeneity. All blending applications in large tanks are flow related, and mixer selection is based on calculating the required flow. The document provides details on the information needed to size mixers properly, such as tank dimensions and properties of products. It compares propeller mixers and jet mixers, noting propeller mixers have lower maintenance needs and power requirements. Pointing mixers upward can reduce blend times by up to 50%. Computational fluid dynamics is a useful tool for visualizing flow patterns.
This document discusses mixing technologies from Philadelphia Mixing Solutions for blending and mixing fluids in storage tanks. It describes several types of tank mixers, including side-entry mixers, swivel-angle mixers, and fixed-angle mixers. It emphasizes the importance of fluid motion and effective mixing for tasks like blending, temperature uniformity, and preventing sediment. The mixers are designed for reliability, safety, and minimizing leaks.

This document summarizes the products and services offered by Solutions in Engineered Products. It discusses that the company was founded in 1981 and is located in North Vancouver. It acts as an exclusive distributor in British Columbia for several industry leaders that provide products like industrial mixing equipment, liquid ring vacuum pumps, chemical feed systems, and steam cleaners. The document provides brief descriptions of these leaders' key products and how they are applied across industries like mining, water treatment, and manufacturing.
Sioux Corporation designs and manufactures industrial cleaning equipment for heavy industries. It was founded in 1939 and specializes in application-specific equipment for mining, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, and other industries. Sioux offers a range of pressure washers, steam cleaners, combination units, water heaters, chillers, and custom equipment that are designed to be rugged and reliable for industrial applications.
A WWMPS installation was completed in Squamish, BC in March 2012. Black & Baird Ltd. sold and installed the WWMPS system. The document provides brief details about a waste water management and processing system installation project.
Sioux Corporation designs and manufactures industrial cleaning, water heating, and steam generating equipment. It offers a standard line of pressure washers, steam cleaners, combination units, steam generators, water heaters, water chillers, and custom equipment. This document provides an overview of grit removal processes. It defines grit as heavy inorganic particles found in wastewater, typically between 20-140 mesh size, with over 90% between 50-100 mesh. Proper grit removal requires controlling water velocities between 1.6-3.5 feet/second. Vortex grit chambers use hydraulic forces to efficiently remove grit up to 140 mesh. Other topics covered include grit pumping, dewatering, and packaged headworks technologies.
The document discusses SIHI Pumps, a manufacturer of liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressor systems. It provides an overview of SIHI's parent company, the TBG Group, and SIHI's global operations and locations. It also describes the principle and design of liquid ring vacuum pumps, typical performance curves, and factors to consider when specifying a vacuum system. Finally, it discusses common applications for vacuum pumps and compressors.
The document discusses S&L Pump Stations, a manufacturer of factory-built pump stations since 1946. It lists objectives for selecting a pump station such as operator safety, low maintenance costs, quality control, and long life. The pump stations can be wet well mounted, with the complete station mounting on top of the wet well at grade level.
Short power point showing wet well mounted pump station attributes. Smith & Loveless built a trailer with this station on it and we are traveling around the province showing it to many operators and consultants.
Smith & Loveless has created a pre-assembled, complete screening and grit removal package called PISTA®Works. It utilizes multiple patented technologies including a grit pump, concentrator, washer and fine screening unit. The system is compact, pre-engineered, and pre-assembled for easy installation. It combines screening, grit removal and washing in one unit to maximize service life and efficiency while minimizing installation efforts.

8 Surprising Reasons To Meditate 40 Minutes A Day That Can Change Your Life.pptxHolistified Wellness
We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).
