Best known for playing Dr. Addison Montgomery on ABC’s hit television shows
Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice, actress Kate Walsh has traded in her scrubs
for some new roles on the big and small screen. This month, see her in Full Circle,
a 10-episode drama series for DirectTV premiering October 9 that follows the
intertwined lives of 11 people at a Los Angeles restaurant. You can also catch her in

This glass-walled lift, known as the
Hundred Dragons Elevator, takes you
high above China’s Hunan Province for
magnificent views of Zhangjiaijie National
Forest Park.

Berlin, Germany
The lobby of Berlin’s Radisson Blu hotel
houses the world’s largest cylindrical
aquarium. The two-story elevator ride

Lucerne, Switzerland
Since 1905, passengers have been riding
to the summit of Mount Bürgenstock in
the highest outdoor lift in Europe. But be
sure to visit the nearly 500-foot elevator
in warm weather—it’s out of commission
during winter.
Gateway Arch
St. Louis, Missouri
This 630-foot structure has been dazzling
visitors to St. Louis for nearly five decades.
It takes four minutes in an enclosed tram
to reach the top, where you can see as far
as 30 miles in either direction into Illinois
and Missouri.
SkyView
Stockholm, Sweden
The glass gondola ride takes you to the
top of the world’s largest spherical build-
ing, the Ericsson Globe, for killer views of
Stockholm.

My last big trip was to Spain

easy to head down to Mexico.

London Heathrow
Airport. It has
some great
shopping.
Luggage of Choice: If it’s a big trip,
I take basic black Tumi luggage
that I check. If it’s a shorter trip, I
have a Louis Vuitton roller bag and
duffle that I carry on.
