The National Orchid Garden is the main attraction within the botanic gardens, located on the mid-western side covering 3 hectares with over 1,000 orchid species and 2,000 hybrids. The Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage occasionally holds free concerts on weekends featuring performers like the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Singapore Chinese Orchestra. Concerts in the park provide an opportunity for parents and children to enjoy music alongside a picnic, relaxing on the lawn with food and drinks.
