INTRODUCTION
 Nuts are always use as a conjunction with bolt to fasten multipleparts together.
(Fastener- Joins two or more objects together).
• Nut is a type of fastener with a
threaded whole.
• It is female threaded part of nut
and bolt.
• Bolt is a form threaded fastener
with an external thread.
• it is a male threaded part of the
nut and bolt.
A square sided nut A six sided nut
Square nut Hex nut Wing nut
A nut with wings to hand
tightening.
Cap or Acron nut
Nut that has a domed shaped
at one side.
Flange nut
Nut that has a wide flange at
one end
Nylon insert lock nut
A nut with a nylon insert to
prevent backing off.
TEE Bolt
Stud Bolt
Expansion Bolt
U-Bolt Hexagonal Bolt
Usually hexagonal nut &
bolt are always use
Nuts comes in many sizes. This one is
the part of Sydney Harbour Bridge.
 Carbon steel and Alloy steel material used for Nut and Bolt manufacturing.
 Nut manufacturing by blanking and threading. Bolt by forging and
threading.
 Insulation coatings or paints to prevent corrosion.
Insulation coating Nut &Bolt
 Used in big infrastructures of steel, wooden, etc.
 It’s design makes them easy to assemble and disassemble.
 In most industries, it made of steel, plastics etc. These materials are strong and resistant
to corrosion.
