9. Exceptions Special Exceptions are granted by the Board of Adjustments. BOA decisions are based on sign type, existence of signs in general area, the degree of change taking place, the location of request as well as the duration…, The BOA must also consider the effect that the exception has on the general plan of regulating signs within in the city.

This section of the code addresses the placement of signs as well as the removal of obsolete signs. In general it states searchlights can’t be used as well other prohibited signage.
