A balance diet means eating the right amount
of food from all food group. A diet which
consist of all essential diet or food constituents
viz. protein , carbohydrates etc proportion is
called balance diet.

• Balance diet is food preparation which
provides complete nutrients as well as
supplies carbohydrates , fat , protein for
normal proportion.

• A balance diet is one that enhance or maintain
general health. To body receives the key
nutrients it needs from a balance diet
including proper amount of protein , fat etc.

• At the time of pregnancy and lactation
• Healthy and clean food should be eaten
• Sufficient amount of water
• Consumption of sugar should be checked
• Exclusive breastfeeding
• A great deal of green leafy vegetables and
seasonal fruits must be consumed.

• Step-1:- Identification of the person and his/
her particular features.
• Step-2:- consultation with recommended
dietary allowances for protein and energy.
• Step-3:- selection of the total amounts of
particular groups.

• Step-5:- allocating the total amounts
