The concept of SEVA among Sikhs is best witnessed
in the free langar (free food) in Gurdwaras. In most
Gurdwaras, people sit on matted floors to eat.
Anyone and everyone are welcome. The food is
served regardless of one’s status, financial
circumstances, background, etc. The rich and the
poorest sit together to eat.
