Should cyber relationships be regulated by law
1. Topic:- Should cyber relationships be regulated
by law?
Yes.
Cyber relationships should be regulated by law.
By this we mean that there should be certain
laws pertaining to cyber relationships, i.e against
criminal activities over cyber relationships.
Time and again it is proved by news headlines,
and from personal experiences and trivial jokes,
that there are too many fake accounts on sites
that are a platform of cyber relationships.
Anybody in this room, can right now, within
half a minute, create a fake account on any
dating or social media site, and use it as a bait,
or honey trap cheat people in uncountable ways.
So, just like there are laws in the physical world
to protect people against harm, or to atleast
reimburse the harm, laws should regulate cyber
relationships in order to keep cheats and
murderous psychopaths from harming you.
The concept that regulation will interfere and
intervene into relationships, doesnt hold ground
2. because our opponent has confused this with the
term ‘moral policing’. This is not that. In the
physical world, nobody is arresting you if you
steal 10rs from your dad’s wallet. But if you take
his entire wallet and run off, in that case, quick
action ensured by a proper law-regulated system
is needed. Also, not having any kind of law to
regulate just because it interferes with your wish
is absurd. Its like letting a murder go unnoticed
because the murderer wished to kill someone,
and law doesnt have the right to interfere in his
personal life.
Nobody is looking behind closed curtains. But
just because there is no proper verification done
before an account is opened, there needs to be a
regulating system governed by a law. If people
were so good, police would’nt have been needed.
Psychopaths and cheats have repeatedly proven
to be find this platform their favourite to hunt
down innocents, and I cannot understand how
our opponent deny this clear fact. It is crystal
clear that a governing law must be present such
that there is a verification of personnel, and
punishments for evil deeds done by them.
3. Even fb has access to all your chats, which helps
police in serious cases. If there were laws
pertaining to such, fb could’ve designed an
algorithm to identify and trap the criminal
quite fast. But that takes a lot of time in reality,
and especially if a person files an FIR for a
comparatively less serious crime done of them;
because there is no awareness and laws regarding
such crimes, even though they are rampant. As a
result, it is very clearly visible that laws must be
allowed to regulate cyber relationships.
