• As the film goes along we get subtle hints on how the film will end and what
will happen to our main character Andy. We eventually find out what
happens in Andy’s memories.
• The film starts fairly slow but picks up pace at the end when we are
introduced to the characters and everything is set-up, it speeds up till the
climax at the very end what keeps you guessing and at the edge of your
seat.

5. OPINION
• In my view it’s one of the best films of its genre and of all time and is classified as a all time
classic. The films contains good visuals for its time but makes up in its amazing script writing
and plot that makes you bind with the characters and actually care about their character arcs.
The show manages to get you on the edge of your seat and keeps you wondering and confused
about what just happened, you have to sit back for a little bit just to process everything.
• The villain is also shown in detail and is shows as being a devout Christian but also a horrific
human, who only cares about himself.
• Along with the film making you guess on how the end will be it also keeps you guessing on how
it all started in the first place, did he murder his wife or not?
• Shawshank also gives light on the corruption in the us prison system during the 50s, it
shows the brutality used by the guards and the privileges some prisoners get for doing
their dirty work.

• Overall the Shawshank redemption has an amazing convoluted plot what is
satisfying to see it unfold and explained, the script draws you into the
characters plot and their story.

interviews. However due to the time it
was made it was not posters online
when it first came out. However people
have made online reviews after the
