Cyril Barrow established a game studio in Finland for Rovio in 2014. It took time to hire a full team of 17 people from various countries. Finding office space and setting up services like internet and payroll were challenges. Recruiting artists was especially difficult due to high competition. The studio had to gain trust from headquarters and adapt to Rovio's production processes. Setting expectations early and clarifying roles were important lessons learned for starting a new studio.
