This document lists British and Indian military units that fought in the Siege and Capture of Seringapatam in 1799. It provides a brief history of many Indian infantry, cavalry, artillery and pioneer units formed by the British under the three Presidency armies of Bengal, Bombay, and Madras that later rebelled or were disbanded after Indian independence. It also notes that the units came from all over British India, including modern day Pakistan and Bangladesh.
