systems and convert that into electrical signal. Electrical signal can be
voltage, current, resistance according to the type of sensor used for
measurement.
• Sensors can be of many types pressure sensor, vibration sensor,
temperature sensor, force sensor, sound sensor, current sensor,
position sensor, torque sensor, velocity sensor, strain sensor,
frequency sensor etc
3. Accelerometer
• These are mounting type of vibration transducer used to measure dynamic
vibrational acceleration of machines in electrical voltage form. It provides large
dynamic range and wide frequency range.
• The choice of accelerometer depend on amplitude, sensitivity, axes, weight,
mountings.
4. Sensitivity
• Sensitivity is a parameter used to description or conversion of
engineering unit signal into voltage. It is used in all sensors where
electrical voltage has to be converted into engineering unit. And its
value depend on the amplitude of measurement.
