This document reflects on a senior seminar course and how it impacted the author. It discusses using different ways of knowing like perception and emotion to complete a class project. It also describes volunteering with an operation to help children in Laos and the challenges of communicating across language barriers but how body language can still connect people. The author concludes that recognizing different forms of communication beyond words alone can help in their future college studies and chosen profession which requires an open approach to understanding others.
