This document presents data on 2010 obesity rates by US state. It lists each state alongside the percentage of the adult population in that state considered obese based on BMI. Rates range from a low of 21.0% in Colorado to a high of 34.0% in Mississippi. Several other states have rates over 30% including Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. Most states fall between 20-30% obesity rates.
