BUILDING NAME: Greater Whitehall
PROGRAM TYPE: Outpatient healthcare facility
PLANNABLE AREA: 19,700sf (three floors)

PROJECT DESCRITPTION:
Regenerate is an outpatient healthcare facility that provides
long-term, comprehensive care to adult burn survivors.             KEY MAP


CONCEPT:
Layer upon layer, human skin defines the architectural
envelope of our body. In this project, the notion of layering is
utilized as a way to define and filter space.
REASONS FOR SPACE SELECTION:

INSPIRATION



LOCATION: 39th Street, between 5th & 6th Avenues, New York City
PROGRAM TYPE: Office space
PLANNABLE AREA: 16,000sf (two floors)
PROJECTED FIRM GROWTH: 78 employees

CONCEPT:
Inspired by natural phenomena, such as lightning and                       KEY MAP

crystallization, an irregular fissure in the mid-floor is intersected by
large glass “shards”. This three-dimensional intervention serves as a
metaphor for the creative process itself.

CONCEPT:
Based on the interlace of a corset and the act of bondage, the
space is intervened by a series of inter-crossing lines and voids.   KEY MAP

Industrial elements, such as steel and concrete, are contrasted by
soft goods.

Inspired by the movement of the wind, an undulating membrane
of glass creates the building’s back façade. This irregular volume

MJ BROTHERS advertising agency CONTRACT DESIGN II, SPRING 2010 INSPIRATION LOCATION: 39th Street, between 5th & 6th Avenues, New York City PROGRAM TYPE: Office space PLANNABLE AREA: 16,000sf (two floors) PROJECTED FIRM GROWTH: 78 employees CONCEPT: Inspired by natural phenomena, such as lightning and KEY MAP crystallization, an irregular fissure in the mid-floor is intersected by large glass “shards”. This three-dimensional intervention serves as a metaphor for the creative process itself.
