The document discusses an ethnographic study of African American business students at Hofstra University. Observations found students were uninterested in the Black Student Union and knew little about black business leaders. Interviews revealed a lack of positive black role models in business. The conclusion was that students need education on successful African Americans in business to promote interest. A proposal introduces the Afro-Chip app to address this issue by providing positive images and lessons to motivate students and produce more black business leaders. This aims to ultimately help the unemployment rate and economy.
