MBBS in Kazakhstan: A Land of Endless Possibilities
Sec. gen speech final draft
1. It is my honour and privilege to address my dear colleagues and friends through our official
website. At this opportunity I should thank all the doctors’ community of Bangladesh for
giving such wonderful support and electing me as the Secretary General of Bangladesh
Medical Association (BMA).
To promote the art and science of medicine and the improvement of the public health
situation in Bangladesh is the ultimate goal of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).
BMA serves to provide a common platform for the doctors’ community to foster their
academic and professional development. We believe in ‘malice to none, but charity for all’.
But as the environment of the medical practice changes a lot and becomes more challenging
due to erosion in moral values, social norms and winds of continuous media scrutiny. The
BMA is committed to protect our beloved fraternity safe from onslaught of contemporary
negativemindset and attitude of society which is creating a palpable gap between the common
people and the doctors. Under the auspices of the BMA, we, the doctors should act together
to achieve our goals and fulfil our responsibilities. BMA and doctors community serve
Bangladesh during our liberation war, in all democratic movements thus set new benchmarks
for other professional communities by their activities during natural calamities. BMA was
and is the epitome of integrity, dedication and service to the common people of Bangladesh.
I pledge for your continuous support to ensure a responsible and vibrant BMA to overcome
all the difficulties we would face. I commit my all time and effort to represent the doctors’
community and upheld its dignity in all situations. Thank you all.
