Vertibrates
O1
Vertibrates Animals
A vertebrate is an animal with
a backbone. Fishes,
amphibians, reptiles, birds, and
mammals, including humans,
are all vertebrates.
We’re Vertibrates!
And I’m Vertibrate too!
Can you think any other vertibrates animals?
Invertibrates
02
Invertibrates
Invertebrates are animals
without a backbone or bony
skeleton.
I’m Invertibrates, I don’t have any bones.
Let’s classify those animals
Mammals
Mammals include humans and all
other animals that are warm-
blooded vertebrates (vertebrates
have backbones) with hair. They
feed their young with milk and have
a more well-developed brain than
other types of animals.
Reptile
A cold-blooded animal (as a snake,
lizard, turtle, or alligator) that
breathes air and usually has the
skin covered with scales or bony
plates.
Amphibians
Amphibians are small vertebrates
that need water, or a moist
environment, to survive. The species
in this group include frogs, toads,
salamanders, and newts. All can
breathe and absorb water through
their very thin skin.
An invertebrate of a large
phylum which includes snails,
slugs, mussels, and octopuses.
They have a soft unsegmented
body and live in aquatic or
damp habitats
