This document discusses a case study of using low impact development (LID) techniques at Jackson Square in Boston. It describes the stormwater management requirements and LID initiatives proposed, including green roofs, rain gardens, vegetated swales, and pervious pavement. It compares the existing conditions, a conventional utility plan, and a proposed plan incorporating green improvements, showing reductions in the curve number values and stormwater runoff with the LID approaches. Details of components for some of the specific LID techniques are also provided.
