3. 1. Mudra Yojana Scheme
• Launch Date: April 8, 2015
• Launched by: Government of India
• Scheme: The MUDRA Yojana aims to provide loans to women to
start or expand their businesses. It stands for Micro Units
Development and Refinance Agency.
• Eligibility Criteria: Any Indian woman who wants to start a small
business or expand an existing one can apply for a loan under this
scheme. There are three categories of loans under MUDRA: Shishu
(up to ₹50,000), Kishor (from ₹50,001 to ₹5 lakh), and Tarun (from
₹5,00,001 to ₹10 lakh).
4. 2. Stand-Up India Scheme:
• Launch Date: April 5, 2016
• Launched by: Government of India
• Scheme: Stand-Up India aims to facilitate bank loans between ₹10
lakh and ₹1 crore to at least one woman per bank branch for setting
up a greenfield enterprise. This scheme primarily targets women
and individuals from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes
(ST).
• Eligibility Criteria: Women entrepreneurs from SC/ST or OBC
categories who wish to start a new enterprise in the manufacturing,
trading, or services sector are eligible. The entrepreneur should own
at least 51% of the shareholding and controlling stake in the
enterprise.
5. 3. Mahila Coir Yojana (MCY):

Launched by: Coir Board, Government of India
Scheme: The Mahila Coir Yojana provides self-employment
opportunities to women artisans in the coir sector. It aims to
empower women by providing training, equipment, and financial
assistance to start coir-based businesses.
Eligibility Criteria: Women artisans involved in coir-based
activities are eligible for assistance under this scheme. They should
fulfill the specific requirements outlined by the Coir Board.

Priority is given to women from marginalized communities and
rural areas.

Scheme: The Annapurna Scheme provides loans of up to Rs 50,000

and the ability to repay the loan within a specified period.

Entrepreneurs:

Under this scheme, women entrepreneurs qualify for a 0.05%
concession on loan amounts exceeding 2 lakh, accompanied by

Scheme: The Cent Kalyani Scheme provides financial assistance to

Under this scheme, the loan limit is Rs. 100 Lakh.
