Slavic Christian Academy, a small, bi-lingual (English + Russian), elementary and middle
school, with three campuses in Portland, Gresham, and Vancouver is pleased to employ Brandon
Sofge as a member of our teaching staff. He began with our school in September 2016 for the
2016/2017 academic year.
Mr. Sofge serves our school in the STEM subjects in addition to History and often as an adjunct
to the English Program. His specific efforts in the areas of Science, History, and his goal of
establishing a Science and Technology lab are key to the school's growth and success. At this
time we do not have a science lab or computer program, and Mr. Sofge is leading the charge in
this area. It is with our endorsement that Mr. Sofge is representing the schools' wishes in
soliciting donations and resources in the pursuit of our STEM curriculum.
We are truly grateful of any assistance you feel able to give. Our school has a history of
accelerated and celebrated academics, a soccer program that has not just been represented, but
has placed at the National FIFA School Division level in our class at the Gold and Bronze levels.
Additionally, our students have gone on to achieve honors academics in high school programs,
and we have four students, who at the middle school level, test at the High School Senior
academics class on the Stanford Achievement Tests. Our Vancouver campus is home to a
student in Seventh Grade who achieved a PERFECT score on the Washington Measurement of
Student Progress (MSP) in Math and another two students who set records for comprehension of
advance math concepts. Our student body and teachers respect the principals of Christian
Education while seeking the best resources and methods of delivering academic excellence.
