The document describes the Kern County SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) and the services it provides to sexual assault survivors. The Kern SART uses a victim-focused model and is a multi-disciplinary team that includes survivors, forensic examiners, law enforcement, crime lab, victim advocates, prosecutors, victim services, and health department. The team works together to treat victims with dignity, provide coordinated evidence collection and investigation, and offer medical, social, mental health and advocacy services.
