Miral A. Rana is one such professional who made a smart career move. With
an ABAP® programming language certification from Siemens, Rana is now
working as an ABAP technical consultant in SEAL Infotech, a leading SAP
partner – a job and career he is elated about. Here are a few excerpts of an
interview with Mr. Rana – a standing testimony for the quality of SAP
Education.
Mr. Rana, please give us
your education background.
I did my schooling in a school called Narmada Vidyalaya in my hometown in Gujurat. After my
12th year, I graduated with a bachelor degree in computer science from Gujarat University in
the year 2010. A year later, I decided that the time was right to give my career a muchneeded impetus and undertook the ABAP certification course from Siemens in Bangalore.
I completed my certification in October 2011.
How did your career go about
after the certification?
After my certification, I joined SAP India as an intern. I got some hands-on experience and
was immediately hired as an ABAP technical consultant in SEAL Infotech.
Can you please provide
a little more insight into
your job’s profile?
My role as an intern in SAP was to develop reports, and I was also was a part of the gateway
implementation for Web Dynpro development environment components for Manipal-SLCM.
This was absolutely great, as I was exposed to real-time implementation and the experience
landed me a job as a consultant in SEAL working on same Manipal-SLCM project.
What was your goal
when choosing SAP
as a career path?
For a start, I wanted to be known as a global professional. Then I wanted to pursue a great
career in SAP as a technical consultant and make my mark in the rapidly spreading world of
SAP – which I know would immediately translate into me working with big multinationals.

It is my privilege to work on SAP’s software platform. Working on SAP software, you stay
abreast with the latest technology, learn new methods of development, sharpen your logical
thinking, and moreover work for the better of the company. I have improved my skills like
never before; I also have become a complete team player, developing solutions for the
various unique requirements of my company.
From a technology standpoint, SAP has a very high level of integration among its individual
applications, which guarantee consistency of data throughout the system and the company.
Even better, the table-driven customization that drives the program functionality helps
support new and changed business requirements.
SAP is also one company that has taken the motto of “making the world run better” to a
whole new level. It is absolutely exciting to know that you are working on something that most
companies run their businesses with.

culture empowered you
to work better?
The very fact that it caters to myriad companies from different industries with various
requirements. SAP builds in robust standard business application, reducing the amount of
time and money spent on IT infrastructure. As I see it, the ease of development and
customization makes it simple for companies to adapt to ever-changing business
environments.
The culture at SAP is great. The environment is very inspiring and productive; this helps me
work better and more efficiently, producing quality work and customer satisfaction. The
overall passion of making businesses work better gets into you, making the whole experience
more rewarding and satisfying.
