Laurie is at her locker getting books as Mandy approaches. They discuss their weekends, with Laurie acting nervously and Mandy mentioning that their friend Marion never showed up to a party. Mandy notices Laurie isn't wearing the friendship bracelet they share and reminds Laurie that as best friends, they are a trio. The scene ends with a slow motion shot of Mandy and Laurie walking down the corridor together.

1. SAMPLE SCENE SCRIPT
INT SCHOOL CORRIDOR – DAY
We see the inside of the locker. The door opens the door of
the locker and grabs a maths textbook. There is an MLS of
LAURIE looking though the book. There are missing posters in
the background. The locker door is covered with pictures of
LAURIE and her friends. There is a mirror on the locker door.
MANDY is seen approaching in mirror. MANDY slams the locker
shut.
LAURIE
(startled)
You scared me.
LAURIE opens the locker.
MANDY
(starts putting lip gloss on in the mirror)
What did you do this weekend?
LAURIE
(nervous)
Oh, I just studied.
ELS of the two girls talking. Voyeuristic shot to allude them
being followed. MS of MANDY checking herself in the mirror and
talking.
MANDY
I was supposed to meet MARION at the party, but she never
arrived. So weird
MS of LAURIE talking. LAURIE closes locker. People pass in
front of her.
LAURIE
Yeah, that’s so weird

2. LAURIE put her hair behind her ear. MANDY notices her wrist
being empty. MANDY grabs LAURIE’s wrist.
MANDY
Where is your bracelet
LAURIE
Oh, I took it off in the shower. I must’ve forgot to put it
back on
MANDY
Oh, put it back on. We are the trio remember.
Best friends forever.
(points to her bracelet)
