The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the 1973 Rehabilitation Act require
educational institutions to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to students with
documented disabilities. After careful review, the Disability Services Office has determined that you
requirethe following academic accommodations in your fall term 2013 classes at RIT. If you do not feel
that these accommodations adequately accommodate your disability you must contact the Disability
Services Office as soon as possible to discuss your concerns. Your agreement will automatically renew for
next term and be sent to your instructors unless you contact Disability Services to discuss.
As agents of the university your faculty are required to provide you with the accommodations listed
below. We encourage and strongly recommend that you have a discussion with your each of your
faculty members about how these accommodations will be used in each of your classes. If you or your
faculty have any questions about these accommodations please contact Susan Ackerman, Director of
