An integrated home theater in a box (HTiB) system has a simpler design than a component-based home theater with separate amplifier and speakers. An HTiB combines a Blu-ray/DVD player with an amplifier unit and packaged speakers for easy setup. In contrast, a component system requires selecting individual amplifiers, speakers, and disc players that match specifications. Component systems offer more connection and amplification options but have more complex setup and use. For simple needs, an HTiB provides comparable sound quality to a component system in an all-in-one easy-to-use package.
