The Film Lab “Salamandra-Ukraine” (Kyiv), was established in Ukraine with the participation
of specialists of the Creative Laboratory “Salamandra” (Moscow), using Kodak’s quality
standards and 15 years experience of work in Russia. We are pleased to inform you that the
company «Salamandra-Ukraine» started its work in October 2012.
“Salamandra-Ukraine” received CDSA (Content Delivery and Storage Association) content
protection and security program certificates. This certificate confirms that all types of content
coming into the company are well protected from security threats, including possible piracy.
We have at your disposal up-to-the-minute
production equipment. The manufacturing
processes are based on the most advanced
technologies in the field of negative and
positive film processing. Highly-skilled
specialists work in the laboratory to ensure
the highest quality of finished products.
The Film Processing Laboratory includes
the following main subdivisions: the section
for Cinevator 5, the section for negative
film developing, the section for positive
film developing, the section for printing,
the section for colour and light setting, the
section for negative cutting, the technical
sound section, the DCP section for the
restoration and ultrasonic cleaning of film,
the checkout laboratory, the order desk with
its packing section, and the storage of film
stock.

Our Laboratory has:
CINEVATOR 5 and could print internegative
and positive copies with sound in real time
with the total capacity of 24 frames per
second;
2 Positive machines Calder with the total
capacity of 5960 m positive film per hour;
Photomec Positive machine with the total
capacity of 3733 m positive film per hour;
Negative machine Calder with the total
capacity of 1171 m per hour;
Calder Sound machine, with the total capacity
of 1338 m per hour;
3 Copiers (BHP), with the total capacity of
printing positive copies of 30 000 m per hour.
Our IT Department can make DCP copies
(Mastering and Remastering) and have Secure
digital content delivery to/from our facility via
SmartJog.
Producing of sound negative on Kodak and
Agfa films from Compact Flash, Magnetic
disks and DAT cassettes in different formats.
The ability to record digital audio tracks in
formats Dolby SR / DD and DTS in real time
using Sound machine LLK.
“Salamandra-Ukraine” has its own Test and
Control Lab with 5 sensitometers and 5
densitometer, own chemical laboratory allows
to carry out all the necessary tests, Color
Grading machine, Ultrasonic cleaning system.
