Personal Statement I am a confident, organized, passionate, professional and driven person who wants to make a difference
and make my son proud of his father and what he achieves in his life. Teaching offers the opportunity for
me to do exactly that, to help young, aspiring and inquiring minds to become better learners and more
rounded individuals, who contribute to society.
I am continually striving to develop my pedagogical abilities, I find learning new philosophies and
developing my teaching skills to be hugely stimulating and rewarding, this past academic year at my
school I won the “Outstanding Teacher for Excellence in Scientific Research” award. I am currently
completing my Masters of Education degree. I am also in the process of applying to become an
International Baccalaureate (IB) workshop leader.
I want to become a member of a team who are passionate about teaching, who collaborate effectively and
efficiently to ensure that success is achieved in the classroom and in the wider school community. I want to
be part of a school which is lead by forward thinking, knowledgeable, inspirational and innovative teachers,
under which I can thrive and commit my long term future to and with whom I will feel a sense of worth and
