Sahil Dua is pursuing his B.E. degree from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi University. He has received numerous academic awards and scholarships. His technical skills include languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, jQuery, and Python. He has worked on web and mobile development projects including websites, plugins, games and apps. Some of his self-initiated projects include an image parsing tool, tic-tac-toe game, quiz application, and roman numeral calculator. He is currently working on open source contributions and developing scripts for tasks like searching abbreviations and image pixelation.

While being a resident of Ramanujan Hostel (freshers’ hostel in NSIT) created hostel’s website, which was later on

− Discussed the idea of hostel’s website with a lot of batchmates, took their suggestions
− Created the website and showed it to hostel officials
− Website was officially mentioned in the B.E. admissions 2013 brochure as a hostel reference website

Worked on the concept of pulling out the images from a web page. Created the web application in PHP that can extract
the images from around 70% of the web pages excluding the SSL certificate secured web pages.

Developed a Tic Tac Toe game using PHP. It prompts the player to play at any empty position and then automates the
computer’s turn accordingly.

A web app(PHP) that is capable of showing all the links available in a web page at one place. Just copy-paste the URL in
the text-box and you’re done! A list of all the links in that page will be in front of you that can be used for multiple
purposes.

Created a web-based quizzing application. Implemented logging in with unique username, saving details over the
session, timer, scores display features as well.

Created a roman to roman calculator capable of performing basic mathematical operations like addition, division etc.

Created a viewport to check the responsiveness of a website. It also helps web developers decide the break-points(to
be used in media queries) on the basis of their content/layout.

Abbreviations-Search Engine Script (PHP)
Wrote a PHP script to perform the search queries on the basis of the abbreviations. Working on it with an aim of
implementing it on smartphones to enable users search through their phonebooks using short names like SD
corresponding to Sahil Dua.

Image Pixelate (Python Script)
Developed an image pixelating python script which changes the pixel size of an image and ultimately converts an
analog-type design of image to discrete-type design.
