The fifth annual release of Fundamental Observation, Bottle Logic Brewing’s chart-topping Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Vanilla Stout, is here! This “liquid brownie batter” was aged in a combination of Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, Heaven Hill, and Knob Creek bourbon barrels and finishes out at a mighty 13.55% ABV. Each barrel saw multiple additions of Madagascar vanilla beans, ultimately aging the finished batch of beer with hundreds of pounds over the course of a year.

A million dollar view! This luxury home overlooking conservation land in exclusive Gordon Woods soars 100 feet above the Credit River. When the trees lose their leaves the prestigious Mississauga Golf and Country Club is visible in the distance. Privacy. Luxury. An entertainment playground designed for families (there's a putting green on the side lawn!). It's all here. Homeowners May and Francis are well aware that their reno rivals the atmosphere of a high-end resort — that's exactly how they planned it.

Another beer launch, maybe...But we decided to give it a twist by bringing a different view on the market. Neon Beer by Baltika launch campaign was driven by very different understanding of the young generation in Russia.
Cocoon Group has been designing beers in ‘New Europe’ for almost 2 decades. In that time, we’ve built up a pretty good understanding of what makes beer design work in this part of the world. On the fol- lowing pages, in an easy-to-follow A to Z format, we showcase some of our favorite recent (and not so recent) beer projects, as well as share some of our knowledge of the category and the region. Please sit back, relax, and we hope our little show gives you a better sense of what makes a truly great ‘New European’ beer design. For more of our beer work, please check out azbeer.cg-eu.com
My presentation for Top Grads 2009, a complete strategic marketing plan for a Vancouver microbrewery. Never complete without the actual delivery, but solid nonetheless.

TAP DESIGN
A newer brewery that has an established visual brand
needed a tap handle designed. The blue waves were
used from previous branding elements and used as
a theme on the tap. In keeping with a nautical look,
the addition of wood and rope helps keep the theme
strong and adds visual interest.

For general use, specialty beers, or any beer released that
doesn’t have a branded tap handle established, Rogue
wanted a tap handle that was versatile to use. With an
interchangeable name plate on the front and back, this
tap handle would be used for any beer that didn’t have an
accompanying tap handle.

IDENTITY | BRANDING
Blaker brewing came to me with bits and pieces of a
brewing operation with a full brewery about to break
ground. Through a branding exploration process, we
ended up creating a solid brand identity along with
finding some vision for future branding efforts. With
a family farm history, along with some of the newest
technology in farming and sustainability, one of the
main concepts for the beer branding was
“a look into the past with a vision towards the future.”
