The Rule of Thirds is a photographic composition technique where a photo is divided into thirds both horizontally and vertically. Subjects or points of interest should be placed along these lines or their intersections rather than in the center of the frame. This creates a more visually interesting composition by avoiding centering subjects and keeping horizons and vertical elements off-center.
