This document outlines the skills and knowledge required for someone working in labour and employee relations. It covers topics such as collective bargaining, managing relationships between employers and unions, interpreting legislation and policies, developing strategies to achieve business objectives, and negotiating to resolve issues. An assessment is provided before and after a course to evaluate competency in these areas from 1 being little understanding to 4 being able to practice independently.
