The Rosenberg Centrifugal Fans with the free-running impeller of the range DKN_ were designed for installation in appliances such as air-handling-units, hygienic- and clean room filter units as well as for Air make-up units. During the development of this unit with a backward-curved impeller without scroll casing, special attention was paid to optimize the efficiency over a wide characteristic curve having at the same time high performance and an optimum sound power level. The fans are suitable to handle air and other non-aggressive gases or fumes. The motors are available with the latest three-phase IEC standard motors or standard NEMA Premium Efficiency motor. Moreover, different features depending on the application such as explosion-proof or for hazardous locations etc. are available.

Rosenberg: Leading the way with energy-efficient EC Technology
Our energy-saving EC motors are developed and manufactured exclusively on our modern production line at our headquarters in Künzelsau. Through the combination of know-how and innovative manufacturing technology we attain a quality that meets the highest standards.
EC (Electronically Commuted, or Electronically Controlled) motors are electric motors which have permanent magnets on the rotor and use electronics to control the voltage and current applied to the motor.
EC motors have no brushes, so avoid the sparking and short life of brushed motors. Because they have electronics controlling the stator, and do not need to waste power inducing the rotor field, they give better performance and controllability, and run cooler than induction motors (for small motors, at least: high horsepower 3 phase induction motors can be very efficient). EC motors are used today in many fractional-horsepower applications where high motor efficiency, reliability, and/or controllability is desired.
Advantages:
EC motors are very high efficiency, and maintain a high efficiency level at part speed. This means that in most cases they use from less than one third to one half of the electricity used by the traditional "shaded pole" induction motors used in the ventilation and refrigeration industries, which in turn translates into lower operating costs and short payback periods.
EC motors’ high efficiency also means that the motors run “cool”, and dramatically reduce the amount of waste heat produced. Reduced waste heat at the evaporator motor level also typically results in reduced operation at the compressor level, which allows further energy savings. Further, running cooler improves the life of highly loaded motor parts like windings and bearings.
EC motors also have a wider operating range than traditional induction motors, which means that one ECM motor can replace a number of induction motor models. In this way, the number of models required by a typical customer is significantly decreased, which decreases and simplifies inventory. This is the main reason why ECM product lines usually include less motor models than their induction counterparts.
In terms of speed control and features, because the motor’s operation is controlled by software, EC motors allow customers to optimize and integrate the motor, fan and controller with the application, and to include features like data communications, constant volume control, variable speed, etc.
EC motors are also quieter than traditional inefficient motors, have longer design life and require less maintenance.

The Rosenberg Centrifugal Fans with the free-running impeller of the range DKN_ were designed for installation in appliances such as air-handling-units, hygienic- and clean room filter units as well as for Air make-up units. During the development of this unit with a backward-curved impeller without scroll casing, special attention was paid to optimize the efficiency over a wide characteristic curve having at the same time high performance and an optimum sound power level. The fans are suitable to handle air and other non-aggressive gases or fumes. The motors are available with the latest three-phase IEC standard motors or standard NEMA Premium Efficiency motor. Moreover, different features depending on the application such as explosion-proof or for hazardous locations etc. are available.

Wind turbine tower cooling is only possible with large volume flows. For this reason, various axial fans, as well as free-running impellers with standard motors in the DKNM/DKNB/DKNR series are used here.
Inverter and transformer cooling
The cooling of other electronic components, such as converters or transformers, is also no problem for our individually designed fans. It does not matter whether the cooling is to be done in the nacelle or at the base of a wind turbine.

Air conditioning of the driver’s cab
The workplace of the train driver places high technical demands on heating, ventilation and air-conditioning. Whether on-roof systems, integrated roof systems or underfloor installations – for the required air movement our backward curved motorized impellers from the DKHR/M series (EC-variant GKHR/M) are ideally suited. Also, centrifugal fans of the type ERA, axial fans from the series AKF/AKS as well as fans from the ECOFIT series REE, GDF and VRE are eminently suitable for this application.
Cooling of components of the propulsion- and braking system
The traction system of a rail vehicle consists of different elements like tractions motors and traction inverters. To avoid harmful overheating the heat has to be dissipated. The same is true for components of the braking system of trains. Backward curved motorized impellers from the DKHR/M series (EC-variant GKHR/M), centrifugal fans of the type ERA/DRA, as well as centrifugal fans from the ECOFIT series GDF are best suitable for this field of application.
Air conditioning of the passenger cabin
Comfort for passengers is a top priority in railway technology. Fans of the Rosenberg group are the right choice for a pleasant climate in the cars. They reach the required operating point within integrated system solutions reliably at minimum space requirements. Such characteristics have for example our backward curved motorized impellers from the DKHR/M (EC-variant GKHR/M), centrifugal fans of the type DRA, centrifugal fans from the ECOFIT series GDF, as well as AKF/AKS axial fans.
Switchgear cabinet ventilation / electronics cooling
The technical constructions of rail vehicles consist of many electronic components that are often housed in switchgear cabinets. Here too sufficient heat dissipation is required to protect the sensitive electronic components. Our backward curved motorized impellers from the DKHR/M series (EC variant GKHR/M), centrifugal fans of the type ERA or fans from the ECOFIT series REE, GDF and 200DW were specially designed for this application.

d’arrêt importants et un coût total de 40 000 $.
Résultat:
La solution de mise à niveau Rosenberg utilise notre ‘’ECFanGrid’’ 3 Х 3.
La puissance totale de notre système n’est que de 42 CV pour produire 50 000 PCM à une pression statique totale de 1,5 PO.
C’est 1/3 de la puissance du moteur d’origine de 125 HP, ce qui se traduira par des économies d’énergie et de coût significatives.
Aucune maintenance n’est requise pour les ventilateurs EC et le système peut fonctionner lorsqu’un remplacement de
ventilateur est nécessaire. Il ne devrait jamais y avoir un temps d’arrêt du système.
Le contrôle de la ‘’ECFanGrid’’ a été intégré de manière transparente au système de contrôle de gestion de bâtiment existant.

Catalog of Rosenberg's EC-Motor (ECM) Fans
Rosenberg: Leading the way with energy-efficient EC Technology
Our energy-saving EC motors are developed and manufactured exclusively on our modern production line at our headquarters in Künzelsau. Through the combination of know-how and innovative manufacturing technology we attain a quality that meets the highest standards.
EC (Electronically Commuted, or Electronically Controlled) motors are electric motors which have permanent magnets on the rotor and use electronics to control the voltage and current applied to the motor.
EC motors have no brushes, so avoid the sparking and short life of brushed motors. Because they have electronics controlling the stator, and do not need to waste power inducing the rotor field, they give better performance and controllability, and run cooler than induction motors (for small motors, at least: high horsepower 3 phase induction motors can be very efficient). EC motors are used today in many fractional-horsepower applications where high motor efficiency, reliability, and/or controllability is desired.
Advantages:
EC motors are very high efficiency, and maintain a high efficiency level at part speed. This means that in most cases they use from less than one third to one half of the electricity used by the traditional "shaded pole" induction motors used in the ventilation and refrigeration industries, which in turn translates into lower operating costs and short payback periods.
EC motors’ high efficiency also means that the motors run “cool”, and dramatically reduce the amount of waste heat produced. Reduced waste heat at the evaporator motor level also typically results in reduced operation at the compressor level, which allows further energy savings. Further, running cooler improves the life of highly loaded motor parts like windings and bearings.
EC motors also have a wider operating range than traditional induction motors, which means that one ECM motor can replace a number of induction motor models. In this way, the number of models required by a typical customer is significantly decreased, which decreases and simplifies inventory. This is the main reason why ECM product lines usually include less motor models than their induction counterparts.
In terms of speed control and features, because the motor’s operation is controlled by software, EC motors allow customers to optimize and integrate the motor, fan and controller with the application, and to include features like data communications, constant volume control, variable speed, etc.
EC motors are also quieter than traditional inefficient motors, have longer design life and require less maintenance.

Unoboxes: Rosenberg’s Modular EC Fan Assemblies
Rosenberg’s Unoboxes are fully assembled blower modules. They are ideally suited for use in renovations or energy efficiency upgrade projects. They can be used as duct boosters or exhaust blowers. Using very efficient EC motor technology they save energy and money.
The modular design allows for fast easy installation. You can easily adjust the fan’s speed using an external potentiometer or fully automate the fan’s speed with external sensors. Sensors that output 0-10VDC signals can be wired directly into the fan’s built-in power supply. You may configure the Unobox to control temperature, pressure, humidity, or setup for constant airflow or constant pressure. Several sizes are available and many accessories like backdraft dampers, flexible duct boots, and rain hoods can be supplied upon request.

The optimization of hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems plays a pivotal role in utilizing natural resources effectively. This initiative not only benefits humanity but also fosters environmental sustainability. The study investigated the design optimization of these hybrid systems, focusing on understanding solar radiation patterns, identifying geographical influences on solar radiation, formulating a mathematical model for system optimization, and determining the optimal configuration of PV panels and pumped hydro storage. Through a comparative analysis approach and eight weeks of data collection, the study addressed key research questions related to solar radiation patterns and optimal system design. The findings highlighted regions with heightened solar radiation levels, showcasing substantial potential for power generation and emphasizing the system's efficiency. Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Additionally, the study provides valuable insights for advancing energy research in economically viable areas. Recommendations included conducting site-specific assessments, utilizing advanced modeling tools, implementing regular maintenance protocols, and enhancing communication among system components.
