This document provides an update on an emergency appeal and operation to assist over 254,000 displaced people from Myanmar's Rakhine state who have fled to Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh since August 2017. It summarizes the response activities of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society with support from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, International Committee of the Red Cross, and other partner national societies. It also describes the involvement of various UN agencies, international NGOs, and local NGOs in assisting with shelter, water and sanitation, food, and other humanitarian needs in the refugee settlements.
