then add pressure.

Teachers: resources needed
1. Scissors (1 per group)
2. Hi-chew (3 peices per group)
3. Plastic bag (for metamorphosis process)
4. Hot plates and tin foil and toothpick (igneous process)
Teachers: Steps
1. Have students cut candy into sediments
2. Have them push sediments together in layers (different colors)
3. Use plastic bag to allow students hands to warm up the candy and squeeze into
metamorphic stage. Can use textbook to help them add more pressure.
4. Add metamorphic stage to a tin foil (plate) on the hot plate. Heat until melted
and use tooth picks to stir.
5. Remove from hot plate and allow to cool (igneous).
