Carl Holt is a highly motivated and technically savvy GIS Analyst. The author first met Carl in 2009 when hiring him as a GIS Analyst, and was immediately impressed by how quickly Carl learned and would think outside the box. Over the years, Carl has grown tremendously in his GIS knowledge and skills, especially in dealing with complex utility issues. The author believes Carl would make an excellent employee as he is very intelligent, detail-oriented, and always striving to learn new things.

I am writing to you in support of Carl Holt and his abilities as a GIS Analyst. Mr. Holt is a
highly motivated individual who I have found to be punctual, dependable and technically savvy.
I first met Carl in 2009 when I interviewed and hired him to work as a GIS Analyst in the
support department at Futura Systems. I was immediately impressed with Carl and how quickly
he would pick things up during training and how he would think outside of the box and ask me
great questions that I had never been asked before. I have seen him grow tremendously over the
years in his overall knowledge of GIS and all of the theory and practical applications in electrical
utilities day to day functions. I was especially impressed with his ability to deal with complex
issues that come up in day to day operations at an electrical utility such as: configuring and
implementing our Field Inspection software, setting up light integration, implementing our web
map application, or figuring out which consumers were not in the GIS but were in UPN and vice
versa and resolving those issues.
It is my opinion that Mr. Carl Holt would make an excellent employee. He is very intelligent,
detail oriented and always striving to accomplish new things, three things that I know are
required for success in every day GIS. Furthermore
Mr. Carl Holt continues to impress me with his knowledge, skill and dedication to his work. I’m
