A longtime New Jersey executive in the container freight station industry, Chris Jamroz guides STG Holdings, LLC, as executive chairman and oversees a coordinated portfolio of companies. Chris Jamroz’s responsibilities extend to serving as executive chairman of Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc., which divested subsidiaries in the truckload segment in August 2020. The transactions involved Laurel Oak Capital Partners purchasing Roadrunner Temperature Controlled and an unnamed entity acquiring Rich Logistics and Integrated Services, Inc. The transactions represent the final steps in a broader reorganization process that began in late 2019, with the divestiture of Flatbed and Roadrunner Intermodal Services, and continued in early 2020 with the sales of Stagecoach and Prime Distribution. With Ascent Global Logistics, Inc., also spun off, Roadrunner Transportation Systems is now exclusively focused on less-than-truckload carrier operations. In tandem with these divestitures, the company worked with Crystal Financial in negotiating a $45 million senior secured asset-based credit facility. Having removed balance-sheet liabilities totaling $400 million, the firm attained a net cash position that Roadrunner’s president described as the “healthiest balance sheet” in the history of the company.
