This document introduces the four subunits of RNA polymerase and their roles in transcription through crude analogies. It describes initiator Jan as starting transcription at enhancers, elongation subunit Andrea as breaking bonds and splicing introns, termination subunit Alisa as fitting hairpins in unknown places and giving it rough to the endoplasmic reticulum, and modification subunit Erin as enjoying post-transcription and translation work including modifications.

6. Erin This bitch is all about post-transcription & translation modifications. A master of 3, she likes to “get off” methionine , slap the tail of Poly-A and cap off the 5’ tip.
